The first three PhD students have accepted positions in the RTG!

We welcome Cameron Braunstein, Sweta Mahajan, and Hamza Mughal to the RTG. They were selected in a competitive procedure out of roughly 150 applications, and will start in October 2023 as part of the first cohort of RTG students.

Cameron is about to graduate from Saarland University with an MSc degree in Data Science and AI, after a previous degree at Brandeis University. Hamza is finishing his MSc in Visual Computing and has a BSc from the National University of Sciences and Technology of Pakistan. Sweta is joining us from the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence at IIT Delhi. All three impressed the committee with their technical skills, research vision, and personality, and we look forward to working with them.
