Yash is a PhD student in the Language, Computation, and Cognition Lab (LaCoCo) at Saarland University, led by Prof. Dr. Michael Hahn. His research focuses on applying formal methods to deepen the understanding of modern Large Language Models (LLMs). A key aspect of his work involves investigating the theoretical capabilities and limitations of base architectures like Transformers and State Space Models in order to ultimately engineer more robust, scalable systems.
Yash completed his Master’s in Language Science and Technology at Saarland University. Prior to his doctoral studies, he received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology in 2020 and worked for three years as a Machine Learning Engineer in the R&D team at Glib.ai, with additional internship experiences at Samsung R&D and Novartis. |
